Pench national Park is very rich in fauna- Some of these are-: Tiger, Leopard, Jungle Cats, Sloth Beer, Wild dog, Jackle, Wolf, Hyena, Fox, Wild Boar, Langoor, Monkey, Indian Gaur (Bison), Sambhar, Barking deer, Spotted deer, Porcupine etc.
Also there are many species of reptiles found at Pench National Park – Snakes, Monitor Lizard etc.
More than 300 species of residential and migratory birds can be seen at Pench national park.
Mahua Tree – (The Madhuca Indica) The very famous local tree and has quiet a lot of health benefits like curing piles, diabetes, asthama, blood diseases and many more. Oil is extracted from the seeds and is used by the tribes for cooking. Mahua flower is famous and is used to prepare a very famous liquor. Mahua flower is favorite food of Langur, parakeet, deer pegion.
Palash Tree – This is commonly known as flame of forest and is a medium sized flowering tree. In the olden days its flowers were used for making colors for Holi festival. You often get to see this during your trip to Pench National park.
Teak tree - Teak tree help conserving a rich and diverse array of wildlife in Pench National Park, Teak has a weather proof quality and lasts in any climate. Teak is used for making furniture and is an expensive wood.
The Neem tree - Neem is a life-giving tree. It is one of the very few shade-giving trees and has draught resistance. Neem
seed pulp is used for methane gas production. Its wood is used to make the furniture.
Fruit trees like Mango (Mangifera indica) and of Jamun or Black plum (Syzigium cumini), custard apple are also found. Bamboo thickets (Dendrocalamus strictus) are commonly found.
Banyan tree, Saja (Terminalia tomentosa) and Bija (Pterocarpus marsupium)Trees. can be seen.
Scattered Ghost tree stands out and is locally known as kullu tree. It changes its color thrice a year.
The forest has stretches of Sal tree The Sal is good quality timber, the leaves are good fodder, fruits have nutritional & medicinal value and is valued greatly by the tribes.
